Happy 4th Birthday, Kai!

On September 22nd, Kai turned 4! It's hard to believe four years have gone by so fast, yet also hard to remember life before our favorite little person. He loves to ride his tricycle really fast (time for a new bike!), tape/tie/connect/build things, jump/climb/run, play golf, and the usual things a 4-year-old likes. His favorite foods are black bean and sweet potato quesadillas, oatmeal with nuts and bananas, butternut squash ravioli, almond butter and jelly sandwiches, pesto pasta, and dark chocolate peanut butter cups. Oh, and he loves my falafel with coconut yogurt sauce :) He is smart, funny, creative, sweet, and loving. We are so blessed and grateful to be his parents!

One present the night before

Kai picked his wrapping paper, gifts, and helped wrap this year!

We had a big "Diego, Animal Rescuer" Party planned, but as luck would have it, my mom and Kai came down with a cold. We decided to postpone the party for two weeks, but we still wanted to make his day extra special. What better place for a slightly sniffly Kai and coughing Grandma to spend the day than the beach?! The salt water and air, sun and sand were just what we all needed.

One of Kai's favorite things to do is play mini-golf, so we went to a course in St. Augustine we had never been before. We were the only ones there!

I wanted Kai to have a healthy dinner and be able to have dessert, so of course we went to the Present Moment Cafe!

Mmmm, Coconut Water!!!

Ready for his treat!

Hmmm, the green thing's gotta go ;)

We love you sweet boy, light of our lives! You are a gift of joy and love that we are thankful for every day!
