New York Trip

At the beginning of December, we geared up for our first family trip on an airplane. We went to attend Dan's cousin Francesca's beautiful wedding, and introduce Kai to his extended family.

We brought a bag of special toys, coloring books, and snacks for the plane.

Ama bought Kai Jeremy the Jet Plane for his first plane ride. He also brought his teddy bear from Nonna.

Kai did amazingly well on the plane ride. He was calm and happy, even more than his Mama who had not flown in several years. He even took a short nap before waking upon landing.

An awesome natural food store recommended by Dan's Aunt Linda.

Dan's Aunt Linda recommended this little gem a few minutes away from Aunt Kay's house, where we stayed. We ate black bean salsa, guacamole, cranberry quinoa, and got yummy veggie juices two days in a row. Aunt Linda bought a smorgasbord of food from there for the family luncheon. We were grateful to have a store similar to our favorite hometown store, nearby.

The wedding was lovely, and so was the venue- The Castle on the Hudson. It was Kai's first time without Dan, my mom, or I. He stayed in the hotel room with Aunt Linda's sister, niece, and friend. They all had a great time!

We had to eat at one of the many vegan restaurants in the city- Cafe Blossom. If we had time, I would've eaten at all of them!

We ate the whole piece of decadent chocolate cake before I remembered to take a picture, again! Luckily, there was one on the cake stand to snap a picture of!

We had a wonderful time, and we look forward to doing it again soon! Next time we hope to go in the Spring, so we can explore outside more! Kai was a great little traveler!
